Hazaro dard hazaron sapne

My heart is weeping. What is the cause of this sufferring?
The fact that the signs of hope are diminishing fast. The causeof this quagmire in which the ordinary citizen or netizen like me finds the country sinking is corruption, corrosion of values and for me at the age of 69 an increasing sense of becoming irrelevant, a vet blanket, I mean  not in my house but looking at the speed with which everything around me is changing in the public domain I get the feeling of being 'a strange person'. Last month a very good Marathi poet Manoj Borgaonkar phoned to have a chat and said that now a days the definition of who is corrupt and who is clean has changed. Those who take bribe nad do your work are clean and those who tke money and dont deliver are corrupt, Haramkhor. I do not remember to have touched haramaka paisa ever in my life but when I go to subregistrar's office to rent my daughter's flat the lawyer gives extra money. Why? I do not know but that is how it is. Many times I think I should not allow the lawyer to do this but he comes out saying karana padta hai. A classmate of mine who was a police officer once said corruption is convenience. In 1975 I had gone to the office of education dept for some work. I had just needed some clarification. A few days later the peon guarding the cabin came across me somewhere on the road. He recognised me and started asking for chaipani  5 rupees. I shrugged him away. The entire act was funny. Looking back I realize that if I really had some important work the man would have shown his nuisance value. That is what was done by a Mr Hagawane. Asking for Rs 40,000 from the candidates to give the appointment letter. It is not only shocking but disgusting. But the news is full of this. The only refreshing things were Mumbai Marathon today and my favourite cricketer Sachin not accepting the advertisement for alchohol.I think the politicians who have got licenses for wineries and liquer should appear as models in the ads.
Tired but sapne bhi to hein . Later on . too tired.Who will read this? I am not the one to claims for fame. But I do have a desire to share.
